2020 TGC Message Five

The All-Inclusive, Extensive Christ Replacing Culture For the One New Man

Message Five

Living the Life of the One New Man instead of Our Culture by Learning Christ as the Reality Is in Jesus

OPENING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING

Reading the verses in each day.

Reading the main points in the outlines.

Pray-reading the verses:

Eph. 4:20-21 But you did not so learn Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him as the reality is in Jesus.

John 8:28 …I do nothing from Myself, but as My Father has taught Me, I speak these things.

Word of Appetizer

The way the Lord Jesus lived on earth is the way the one new man should live today; how should we learn Christ as the reality is in Jesus?

Our standard of living must not be according to our culture but according to the reality in Jesus, the reality lived out by the Lord Jesus when He was on earth; we need to learn Christ and be taught in Him to live a life of reality; to learn Christ is simply to be molded into the pattern of Christ, that is, to be conformed to the image of Christ. If we live according to the spirit of our mind, we shall have the daily living of the corporate new man—a living that corresponds to the reality in Jesus.

Spiritual Burden

We need to live the life of the one new man instead of our culture by learning Christ as the reality is in Jesus, the way the Lord Jesus lived on earth is the way the one new man should live today; for the one new man as the corporate God-man, we need to live the life of a God-man.

CONCLUDING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING

The Revelation of the Truth

Our standard of living must not be according to our culture but according to the reality in Jesus, the reality lived out by the Lord Jesus when He was on earth.

The living of the one new man should be exactly the same as the living of Jesus; for the one new man as the corporate God-man, we need to live the life of a God-man.

In the performing of the miracle of feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish, the Lord trained His disciples to learn from Him.

The Experience of Life

As the expansion, increase, reproduction, and continuation of the first God-man, we should live the same kind of life He lived; the One who lived the life of a God-man is now the Spirit living in us and through us; we should not allow anything other than this One to fill us and occupy us.

Practice and Application

We need to open our entire being to the Lord to receive (in a spirit and atmosphere of prayer) Him; we need to contact the Lord as the compassionate One every morning.

We need to deny ourselves, be conformed to Christ’s death, and magnify Him by the bountiful supply of His Spirit.

We need to continually exercise our spirit to reject the self and live by another life by the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

PROPHESYING TOPICS—
TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK

Day 1

T1: Our standard of living should be according to the truth in Jesus, the reality lived out by Jesus when He was on earth (Eph. 4:20-21).

(What is the reality in Jesus?)

T2: Christ is not only life to us but also an example (John 13:15; 1 Pet. 2:21).

(Please explain that it is a mistake to endeavor to imitate Christ by the efforts of our natural life.)

Day 2

T1: To learn Christ is simply to be molded into the pattern of Christ, that is, to be conformed to the image of Christ (Eph. 4:22-24).

(Please explain that having put off the old man and having put on the new man is a condition of learning Christ.)

T2: To fulfill in experience what was accomplished in the putting off of the old man and the putting on of the new man by being renewed in the spirit of our mind.

(How can we live a life according to the truth, the reality that is in Jesus?)

Day 3

T1: The Man-Savior’s God-man living (John 6:57; 5:30).

(Please explain that the Lord had the living of a genuine man, but not by man’s life.)

T2: The Lord’s God-man living constituted a prototype to His believers (John 6:57; 5:30).

(Please explain that the Lord Jesus had a genuine man’s living by God’s mind, will, and emotion.)

Day 4

T1: The genuine Christian virtues taught by the Bible are not the result of human effort (1 John 2:6; Gal. 2:20a).

(What are the differences between the Christian virtues taught by the Bible and the human virtues taught by Confucius?)

T2: If we would live God and express Him, it is necessary for the natural human virtues to be terminated (Gal. 2:20).

(Please explain that we should not be occupied with good things such as the improvement of character; instead, we should be thoroughly filled with the Triune God.)

Day 5

T1: “Looking up to heaven” indicates that the Father is the source of blessing (Matt. 11:29; 14:19).

(How did the Lord train His disciples to learn from Him in the performing of the miracle of feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish?)

T2: Anyone who follows the Lord must deny himselves, rejected his idea, intention, and purpose (Matt. 16:24; John 5:30).

(Please explain that the Lord did not do anything from Himself nor seek His own will.)

Day 6

T1: The Lord did not seek His own glory but the glory of the Father who sent Him (John 7:18).

(Please explain that we all have to learn of these three things: no self, no purpose, and no ambition.)

T2: The Lord’s sending was according to the Father’s answering of His prayer (Luke 6:12-13).

(What should we learn from the Lord’s example?)
