A. God became man to make man God so that God can produce the Body of Christ, which is the organism of the Triune God, the ultimate manifestation of which is the New Jerusalem—Eph. 1:22-23; 4:4-6; Rev. 21:2, 9-10.
B. The result of God becoming man and man becoming God is an organism; this organism is the Body of Christ—the union and mingling of God and man—Eph. 4:4-6, 12.
C. The reality of the Body of Christ is the union and mingling of God and man, living out a corporate God-man—Eph. 4:4-6, 24.
OPENING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING
Reading the verses in each day.
Reading the main points in the outlines.
Pray-reading the verses:
When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory —Col. 3:4
Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature —2 Pet. 1:4
And not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan in ourselves, eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body —Rom. 8:23
Word of Appetizer
What is the highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God?
The highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God is the revelation of the New Testament economy of God—that God became man in order that man might become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.
The eternal economy of God is to make man exactly the same as He is in life and nature but not in His Godhead, and to make Himself one with man and man one with Him, thus enlarging and expanding Himself in His expression, so that all His divine attributes can be expressed in human virtues.
Spiritual Burden
The highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God is the revelation of the New Testament economy of God—that God became man in order that man might become God. God becoming man is through incarnation; man becoming God is through regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation, conformation, and glorification.
Only by God becoming man that man might become God can the Body of Christ be produced; this is the peak of the vision that God has given to us. God became man so that man might become God, that God might produce the Body of Christ, the organism of the Triune God, the ultimate consummation of which is the New Jerusalem.
Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting
The Revelation of the Truth
The highest peak of the divine revelation given to us by God is the revelation of the New Testament economy of God—that God became man in order that man might become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead.
The peak of the divine revelation—the “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible—is the revelation that God became man in Christ so that man might become God in life and nature (but not in the Godhead).
Only by God becoming man that man might become God can the Body of Christ be produced; this is the peak of the vision that God has given to us.
The Experience of Life
2 Corinthians 3:18: But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit.
To fulfill the economy of God, we need God to build Himself in Christ into our being as our life, nature, and constitution so that we may become God in life and nature, but without sharing in His Godhead.
God becoming man is through incarnation; man becoming God is through regeneration, sanctification, renewing, transformation, conformation, and glorification.
Practice and Application
As believers in Christ and children of God, we are not human beings; we are God-men. Realizing this will change us, even revolutionize us. When we realize that we are God-men, we will say, “Lord, You are the first God-man, and we are the many God-men who follow You. You lived a human life, not by Your human life, but by the divine life of God, to express Him… You lived on this earth dying every day. You lived by being crucified. Lord, today You are my life, You are my person, You are me. So I must die. I need to be conformed to Your death. I must be crucified and die every day to live the God-man life, a human life, but not by my human life, but by the divine life, with Your life and Your nature as my constitution, expressing Your divine attributes, which become my human virtues.”
PROPHESYING TOPICS—TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK
Day 1
T1: The Triune God, this wonderful Person, is the content of our Christian life (John 1:14; 1 Cor. 15:45b).
(Please illustrate that the Bible is the autobiography of a wonderful Person; this Person is the processed and consummated Triune God.)
T2: How the Bible begins with God and ends with God (Gen. 1:1; Rev. 21:2).
(Please illustrate how at the beginning of the Bible there is the individual God, and at the end there is the corporate great God—the New Jerusalem.)
Day 2
T1: God-men have the divine right to participate in God’s divinity (Col. 3:4).
(Please illustrate that the word “participate” means not only to partake, but to partake in order to receive enjoyment.)
T2: God-men have the divine right to participate in the divine nature of God (2 Pet. 1:4).
(What is the meaning of being sanctified?)
Day 3
T1: God-men have the divine right to participate in God’s mind and God’s image (2 Cor. 3:18).
(Please illustrate that metabolic transformation into the image of the resurrected and glorified Christ is the participation in God’s image.)
T2: As God-men, we also participate in the glory of God and the sonship of the Son of God (Rom. 8:23, 30).
(Please illustrate that eventually, we will be brought into the glory of God and participate in the glory of God.)
Day 4
T1: God, in Christ, dispenses Himself into our humanity (Rom. 8:16; Eph. 3:17).
(The “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible is a revelation; what is this revelation?)
T2: God, in Christ, dispenses Himself into us to be our life, nature, and constitution (Rom. 8:16; Eph. 3:17).
(Please illustrate how God accomplishes this.)
Day 5
T1: In Christ, God and man become one entity, which is the God-man (Gen. 1:26; John 12:24).
(Please illustrate that in God’s creation there is no “human race,” only man as the divine species; it is due to the fall of man that the human race was produced.)
T2: Becoming a person of the same species as God (Gen. 1:26; John 12:24).
(What is the highest point of God’s gospel?)
Day 6
T1: God-men are those who are born of God, having not only the divine life but also the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4; Rom. 12:4-5).
(Please illustrate that the burden in the Lord’s ministry is not to build us up as gentle or kind people, but to cultivate God-men.)
T2: Great is the mystery of godliness! God was manifested in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16).
(Please illustrate the meaning of “godliness” here.)
