OPENING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING
Reading the verses in each day.
Reading the main points in the outlines.
Pray-reading the verses:
Exo. 30:23-25 Take the finest spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred fifty shekels, and of fragrant calamus two hundred fifty shekels, and of cassia five hundred shekels…and a hin of olive oil. And you shall make it a holy anointing oil, a fragrant ointment compounded…
John 7:39 This He said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed into Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified
Word of Appetizer
What is the inward meaning and revelation of the compound oil as the anointing oil?
The anointing oil, a compound of olive oil and four spices “according to the art of the perfumer,” is a complete representation of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, which is the Spirit of Christ through His death and resurrection, becoming the processed Triune God, a compound, all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit. The four spices and olive oil compound into one oil, symbolizing the blending of the above elements with the Spirit of God through Christ’s incarnation, human life, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, producing the compound Spirit for building God’s eternal dwelling place.
Spiritual Burden
We believers have all been anointed with the compound oil, the all-inclusive Spirit; Psalm 133:2 describes how the oil flowed from Aaron’s head to his beard and down to the hem of his robe; this symbolizes the whole body of Christ being anointed with that Spirit; to be “painted” with the oil, we must be one with the church; in this way, we naturally enjoy the anointing of the oil and its various components; how wonderful is the oneness that the use of this oil produces!
Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting
The Revelation of the Truth
The anointing oil, a compound of olive oil and four spices “according to the art of the perfumer,” is a complete representation of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, which is the Spirit of Christ through His death and resurrection, becoming the processed Triune God, a compound, all-inclusive, life-giving Spirit.
The compound oil, the anointing oil, was used to anoint the tabernacle and all its utensils, the altar and all its instruments, the laver and its base, and the priests, making all these holy, set apart for God, for His divine purpose.
The Experience of Life
Cinnamon represents the sweetness and efficacy of Christ’s death; when we apply the death of the Lord, who is in the Spirit, to our inner being, our hearts are strengthened, causing us to rejoice and be glad in the Lord.
Such anointing, being the operation of the compound Spirit within us, is implemented on us, adding all the components of the processed and ultimately completed Triune God to our inner being, causing our inner man to grow in the divine life, according to the divine elements, and harmonizing us with God as one.
Practice and Application
The anointing oil is solely for the purpose of anointing God’s dwelling place and priestly system; therefore, only those who are for God’s dwelling place and priestly system can enjoy the compound, all-inclusive Spirit.
We believers have all been anointed with the compound oil, the all-inclusive Spirit; to be “painted” with the oil, we must be one with the church; in this way, we naturally enjoy the anointing of the oil and its various components; how wonderful is the oneness that the use of this oil produces!
