2:6-9 As therefore you have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, Having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Beware that no one carries you off as spoil through his philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ; For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily,

B       We must be “in the light” to enjoy Him as the good land in these two aspects—His redeeming and generating aspects—of the All-Inclusive Christ—Col. 1:12:

1       God is light; God’s word is light; Christ is light—1 John 1:5.

A       Christ as the soil is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily—Col. 2:9:

1       When we are rooted in Christ as the soil, we are made full in Him—Eph. 3:8.

B       We must spend time enjoying the Lord as the all-inclusive land so that all the elements of Christ as the rich soil can be absorbed into us—Col. 2:10: (Saturday)

1       If we would absorb the riches of Christ as the soil, we need tender, newly grown roots—2 Cor. 4:16.

2       We need to forget our environment, our condition, our failures, and our weaknesses and simply spend time absorbing the Lord—Col. 2:19.

OPENING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING

Reading the verses in each day.

Reading the main points in the outlines.

Pray-reading the verses:

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light; Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,—Col. 1:12-13.

As therefore you have received the Christ, Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, Having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.—Col. 2:6-7.

Word of Appetizer

What elements can we see [in Christ as the soil] in Colossians 2:11-15? How can all the elements of this rich soil be absorbed into us?

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that has a killing power, putting the flesh to death.

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that causes us to be buried.

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that causes us to resurrect.

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that causes us to be made alive.

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that blots out the handwriting in ordinances.

In Christ as the soil, there is an element that triumphs over the evil spirits in the air.

If we want to absorb the riches of Christ as the soil, we need tender, newly grown roots; we need to forget our environment, our condition, our failures, and our weaknesses, and simply spend time absorbing the Lord.

Spiritual Burden

God’s calling is to bring His chosen people into the enjoyment of the All-Inclusive Christ typified by the good land flowing with milk and honey.

Christ is our living land and rich soil; having been rooted in Him, we can walk in Him and absorb Him, so that we can grow by the elements absorbed from this soil.

We must spend time enjoying the Lord as this all-inclusive land, so that all the elements of Christ as the rich soil may be absorbed into us, that we may be made full in Him in our experience.

Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting

The Revelation of the Truth

Christ as the firstborn and the All-Inclusive One is the saints’ allotted portion.

The Experience of Life

By enjoying Christ as the land flowing with milk and honey, we are constituted with Him as the milk and honey—“Your lips, my bride, drip fresh honeycomb; honey and milk are under your tongue.”

When we are rooted in Christ as the soil, we are made full in Him; we are filled with all the divine riches and become His expression; in Christ as the soil, we are filled, made complete, perfected, satisfied, and fully supplied; we lack nothing.

Practice and Application

We must eat God’s word to enjoy Him as the good land in both the redemptive and generating aspects of the All-Inclusive Christ; God’s word is milk for us to drink and honey for us to eat.

We must spend time enjoying the Lord as this all-inclusive land, so that all the elements of Christ as the rich soil may be absorbed into us, that we may be made full in Him in our experience. We need to forget our environment, our condition, our failures, and our weaknesses, and simply spend time absorbing the Lord.

PROPHESYING TOPICS—TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK

Day 1

T1 The good land is a type of the All-Inclusive Christ (Col. 1:12-13).

(Please illustrate that what is the meaning of the good land to God’s chosen people?)

T2 The experience of the children of Israel in the good land typifies our enjoyment of Christ today (Col. 1:12-13).

(Please illustrate that Christ is our good land, and the rich aspects of Christ are typified by the produce of that land.)

Day 2

T1 The good land became a table, a feast, for us to enjoy (Exo. 3:8).

(Please illustrate that whenever we come to The Lord’s table meeting to enjoy this all-inclusive One, in our experience, we are enjoying the riches of the good land.)

T2 Believers in Christ are also light (Matt. 5:14, John 1:4).

(Please illustrate that when we receive Christ as life, this life becomes the light within us, shining on us and enlightening us from within.)

Day 3

T1 Barley loaves symbolize the generating life aspect of Christ, and fish symbolize His redeeming life aspect (1 Pet. 2:2, Psa. 119:103).

(Please illustrate that the spiritual meaning of Christ feeding people with barley loaves and fish.)

T2 Honey is for reviving the weak, and milk is for feeding the immature (1 Pet. 2:2, Psa. 119:103).
(Please illustrate that the word milk is not for the body, but for the soul, which is the inner man.)

Day 4

T1 In Christ, the good land, there are many different elements (Col. 2:6-7, 9-10).

(Please illustrate that the first element is all the fullness of the Godhead.)

T2 In Christ, the good land, there are many different elements (Col. 2:6-7, 9-10).

(Please illustrate that the second element is the Head of all rule and authority.)

Day 5

T1 In Christ, the good land, there are many different elements (Col. 2:6-7, 9-10).

(Please illustrate that the second element is the Head of all rule and authority.)

T2 In Christ as the soil, we are put to death, buried, resurrected, and given life (Col. 2:12-14).

(Please illustrate that in Christ as the soil, there are elements that kill us, bury us, resurrect us, and are life to us.)

Day 6

T1 In Christ as the soil, there is an element that defeats evil spirits (Col. 2:7, 15).

(Please illustrate that in Christ as the soil, there is an element of having stripped off the rulers and authorities and triumphed over them in Him.)

T2 Since we are rooted in Him, we should continue to absorb His riches (Col. 2:7).

(Please illustrate that what is the reason that even though we spend some time with the Lord, we may not absorb much of His riches?)
