The All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land— a Land of Waterbrooks, of Springs and of Fountains, Flowing Forth in Valleys and in Mountains

Reading the verses in each day.

Reading the main points in the outlines.

Pray-reading the verses:

That the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.—Gal. 3:14.

For Jehovah your God is bringing you to a good land, a land of waterbrooks, of springs and of fountains, flowing forth in valleys and in mountains.—Deut. 8:7.

the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever…—John 4:14.

Word of Appetizer

What kind of Spirit can be the blessing of Abraham promised by God? What is the all-inclusive blessing, even Christ as the Seed and the good land?

The material blessing promised to Abraham, the good land, is a type of Christ as all-inclusive; the promised blessing of the Spirit, the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit, corresponds to the promised blessing of the land of Abraham. Actually, this Spirit as the realization of Christ in our experience is the good land, the source of God’s all-inclusive supply for our enjoyment; it is the “all-inclusive supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ” as the supply to the Body of Christ.

Spiritual Burden

The all-inclusive Christ as the all-inclusive Spirit is the land “of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring forth in valleys and hills.”
According to God’s economy, those who trust in God are like trees planted by the waters, signifying that God is the source of living water; the tree grows beside the river, absorbing all the riches of the water for its growth; this is a picture of God accomplishing His economy through His divine dispensing. We need to establish the habit of drawing from the fountain of salvation, drinking the water of life and flowing with the water of life.

Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting

Revelation of the Truth

Galatians 3:14 says, “That the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

The all-inclusive Christ as the all-inclusive Spirit is the land “of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring forth in valleys and hills.”

Jeremiah 2:13 says, “My people have committed two evils: I They have forsaken Me, I The fountain of living waters, I To hew out for themselves cisterns, I Broken cisterns, I Which hold no water.”
According to God’s economy, those who trust in God are like trees planted by the waters, signifying that God is the source of living water; the tree grows beside the river, absorbing all the riches of the water for its growth; this is a picture of God accomplishing His economy through His divine dispensing.

The Experience of Life

The water “springing forth in valleys and hills” (Deut. 8:7b) indicates that Christ as the living water flows out in different environments.

The valley is the experience of the cross, the experience of Christ’s death, while the hill is the experience of Christ’s resurrection; the indwelling Christ as the treasure in our earthen vessels is the source of the divine supply and the surpassing power for the Christian life to live the crucified life and to manifest the resurrection life.

In fact, there needs to be death, discouragement, and disappointment in order for resurrection to be manifested; the work of the cross terminates our self so that we may enjoy the resurrected God. We reject the self and receive God into us in the morning, and during the day we sense a killing process going on within us.

Practice and Application

We need to establish the habit of drawing from the fountain of salvation, drinking the water of life and flowing with the water of life.
We need to draw happily from the fountain of salvation by speaking to the Lord, speaking out of the Lord, speaking for the Lord, speaking in the Lord, and speaking with the Lord; we need to praise the Lord, rejoice in the Lord, give thanks always, and sing to the Lord; we need to call on the name of the Lord.
We need to preach the gospel to let people know what Christ has accomplished; we need to let the Lord have the first place in our whole being and do everything according to the divine nature.

PROPHESYING TOPICS—TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK

T2  The Spirit – the all-inclusive life-giving Spirit – is the blessing of Abraham (Gal. 3:14; 1 Cor. 15:45)

(Please illustrate that the blessing of Abraham is entirely related to Christ, who is the center of the promised blessing.)

Day 2

T1  The good land of Canaan is a comprehensive type of the complete, full, and ultimate Christ  (Eph. 3:8; Phil. 1:19)

(Please illustrate that the richness of the good land typifies the different aspects of Christ’s unsearchable riches, which in His Spirit are the all-inclusive supply for His believers.)

T2  The river of living water signifies the abundance of life in its flow  (John 7:38; Rev. 22:1)

(Please illustrate that the source is the origin, the spring is the flowing out of the source, and the river is the flow.)

T2  Practical salvation is the Triune God Himself passing through a process  (Rev. 21:6)

(Please illustrate that both the Old Testament and New Testament show us that living water is God’s practical salvation.)

Day 6

T1 God accomplishes His economy through His dispensing  (Jer. 2:13a; 17:7-8)
