Opening Word of the Prophesying Meeting

Reading the verses in each day.

Reading the main points in the outlines.

Pray-reading the verses:

Col. 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light.

7 Having been rooted and being built up in Him…

9-10 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you have been made full in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority.

Word of Appetizer

The implication of “rooted in Him” in Colossians 2:7 is that there is a soil; what are the elements in Christ as the soil?
Christ as the soil is the One in whom the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily; Christ as the soil is the Head of all principality and power; there is an element to put to death, to crucify the flesh; there is the element to cause us to be buried; there is the element to cause our resurrection; there is the element to cause our being quickened; in Christ as the soil there is the blotting out of the handwriting of requirements; in Christ as the soil there is the triumph over the principalities in the air.
Spiritual Burden
To us Christ as our allotment, as the unsearchable riches of a goodly land in which we lack nothing, is the all-inclusive God, the great I AM, whom we can daily experience and enjoy as our all-sufficiency; His being meets our every need that He may meet His need for building up His church as His Body and preparing His church as His bride for His coming back.

Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting

The Revelation of the Truth
Christ as the all-inclusive Head is the saints’ portion in the light to be experienced and enjoyed by us.
Colossians 2:6-7 reveals Christ as the goodly land (Deut. 8:9) in which we have our portion, as a rich soil in which we have been rooted that we may take up the elements of the soil to grow.
Colossians 2:8-15 is a full description and exposition of Christ as the soil in whom there is nothing lacking; as we spend time to take Him in as the all-inclusive land, the facts in these verses become our experiences; the facts are in Christ, the experiences are by Christ and with Christ.
Furthermore, Christ the soil is the history and mystery of God, including all the riches of His person and His process.
The Experience of Life
The elements in Christ as the soil first bury us that we may be resurrected. In Christ as the soil we are put to death, buried, resurrected, and made alive. The putting to death and the burial remove the negative things from us, while the resurrection brings us out from the negative things. Then the life-giving elements in the soil cause us to live.
In Christ as the soil we are filled, completed, perfected, satisfied, and absolutely supplied; there is no lack; as we are rooted in Christ as the soil, we are filled with Him; we are filled with all the divine riches, becoming His expression.
Practice and Application
We have been planted into Christ, and day by day we must take the time to take Him in; we must take the time to enjoy the Lord as the all-inclusive land, to let all the elements of Christ as the rich soil be taken into us that we may in experience be filled with Him.
We need to forget our environment, our condition, our failures, and our weakness, and simply take the time to take the Lord in; our contact with the Lord should not be hurried; we need to exercise our spirit and remain in the light of His face to take Him in; we need to spend more time to take in the Lord—loving Him, praising Him, offering Him thanksgiving, and speaking freely to Him.
