The Multifarious Wisdom of God

OPENING WORD OF THE PROPHESYING MEETING

Reading the verses in each day.

Reading the main points in the outlines.

Pray-reading the verses:

Col. 2:2-3 …understanding unto the full knowledge of the mystery of God, Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

1 Cor. 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God: both righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

Eph. 3:10 In order that now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenlies the multifarious wisdom of God might be made known through the church.

Word of Appetizer

The book of Proverbs stresses wisdom that we receive from God through contacting God; in the New Testament, how should we receive wisdom from God?

In whom(Christ) all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden; as believers, we are in Christ, and Christ has become the wisdom from God to us; as our wisdom, Christ is all-inclusive, becoming wisdom to us from God in righteousness, sanctification, and redemption; Christ as wisdom should unceasingly flow from God to us to be our present and practical wisdom in our experience; if we remain with the Lord to receive His dispensing (John 15:4-5), He will be transmitted into us as the wisdom to handle various problems and matters.

Spiritual Burden

When God’s chosen and redeemed people experience Christ as wisdom to them from God and partake of and enjoy the riches of Christ, these riches will constitute them the church, through which the multifarious wisdom of God is made known to the angelic rulers and authorities in the heavenlies.

Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting

The Revelation of the Truth

The book of Proverbs stresses wisdom that we receive from God through contacting God.

Romans 11:33a speaks of God’s wisdom: “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!”

Christ is the wisdom of God.

As believers, we are in Christ, and Christ has become the wisdom from God to us.

Through the church the multifarious wisdom of God will be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies.

The New Jerusalem, as the ultimate consummation of the church, will be full of wisdom.

The Experience of Life

As believers, we are in Christ, and Christ has become the wisdom from God to us; by Christ as our righteousness, we have been justified by God so that we might be reborn in our spirit to receive the divine life; by Christ as our sanctification, we are being sanctified in our soul, that is, transformed in our mind, emotion, and will with His divine life; if we are one with the Lord and receive His dispensing, we will experience and enjoy Him as our wisdom day by day and hour by hour.

Practice and Application

We should seek after wisdom so that we may live a godly life on earth that is acceptable to God.

If we exercise our being to contact the Lord, Christ as the life-giving Spirit will saturate our spirit and our mind, and we will have in our experience the wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Christ.

PROPHESYING TOPICS—
TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK

Day 1

T1: Wisdom is the Spirit of God, which is also Christ; thus, it can be poured out upon man (Prov. 1:23; 9:10).

(Please explain that we cannot receive the words in Proverbs by our natural concepts, rather, we need to let the Spirit of God be poured upon us so that we may receive wisdom.)

T2: Proverbs stresses the wisdom that man receives of God through his contacting of God (Prov. 1:20; 3:19).

(Please explain that Christ is the personified wisdom of God.)

Day 2

T1: We need to see the difference between wisdom and knowledge (Rom. 11:33; Col. 2:3).

(Please explain that wisdom is in our spirit, and knowledge is in our mind.)

T2: As God’s center and as our portion for our enjoyment, Christ is God’s wisdom in a mystery (1 Cor. 2:6-7).

      (What’s God’s wisdom in a mystery?)

Day 3

T1: Christ is the wisdom of God (Prov. 8:12; 1 Cor. 1:24).

(Please explain that in the New Testament the personified wisdom of God is Christ as its reality.)

T2: Wisdom and knowledge are embodied in Christ (Col. 2:2-3).

(Please explain according to your own experience how we can have in our experience the wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Christ?)

Day 4

T1: If we enjoy Christ, we will have Him as our wisdom, as our way (1 Cor. 1:30; John 14:6).

(Please explain according to your own experience how we can apply Christ as wisdom in our daily life?)

T2: As our wisdom, Christ is all-inclusive (1 Cor. 1:30).

(Please explain that Christ has become wisdom to us from God in righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.)

Day 5

T1: God needs an adversary, Satan, in order to display His wisdom (Eph. 3:10; 6:12).

(Please explain that only through problems can all the aspects of God’s wisdom be manifested.)

T2: Everything Satan has done has given God the opportunity to manifest His wisdom (Eph. 3:10).

(Why is the church God’s greatest boast?)

Day 6

T1: The New Jerusalem is designed and constructed by God (Heb. 11:10).

(Please explain that the New Jerusalem, as the ultimate consummation of the church, will be full of wisdom.)

T2: The New Jerusalem is not a physical city (Rev. 21:2).

(Please explain that in His wisdom God constructs the New Jerusalem by dispensing Himself as the Architect and Builder into our being.)
